The Warriors finished their non-league schedule with a doubleheader sweep of the Valencia Tigers at home on Tuesday.
GAME 1: VHS 0 - WHS 12
Sophomore pitcher Dylan Blakey got his first career win in his second Varsity start. Blakey went five innings, allowing two hits and zero runs while striking out seven. Seniors Yohann Byun and Ian Hardy entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
The offense stayed hot providing more than enough run support and cruised to a 12-0 victory. Junior Jack Bunnell started things off in the first with a two-run single.
Woodbridge added two more in the third via RBI singles by Bunnell and Junior Jaden Hoang-Tieu.
The Warriors struck again in the fourth posting six runs thanks to RBIs from Seniors Grant Martine and Danny Vasquez, Hoang-Tieu and Bunnell, and Sophomore Sean McCance.

GAME 2: VHS 5 - WHS 6
Woodbridge ran off with the lead late in the game over Valencia on Tuesday. The game was tied at five with WHS batting in the bottom of the sixth when Junior Luke De Vries drove in Junior Dylan Kim to take the lead.
The Warriors got things moving in the second inning when Kim grounded into a double play, but still managed to score one run. WHS added two more runs in the third thanks to an RBI double by Senior Jakob Trestik. Trestik scored later in the inning via a wild pitch.
Valencia had a big inning in the fifth, scoring five taking the lead for the first time in the series.
In the bottom of the fifth inning, Woodbridge Warriors Varsity tied things up at five. Senior Matt Spear drove in De Vries and Bunnell's sac fly scored the tying run for the home squad.
On the mound, Junior Lachsan Ramanathan came on in relief to grab his second Varsity win of the season and his career.

The squad opens PCL play this Friday night as they host Irvine under the lights at 6:00. Come out to Ryan Lemmon Stadium and cheer on the Warriors in what is always an exciting and raucous matchup!
